The optical force of the photon sets the medium atoms in motion

A new article Transfer of atomic mass with a photon solves the momentum paradox of light seems to show that there is a wave in the atoms as light passes through a transparent medium and it carries most of the momentum.   I think this wave has to at least mostly be the electrons as the protons just are not going to move that fast.  Seems rather supportive of my theory.
